"Hey, look," you're probably saying, "another new file from Dan1025. Must be more Cardassians." Well, you're wrong. SURPRISE!
Dan1025 brings us an early Christmas present-- the Dauntless class, seen in "Hope and Fear" (VOY). Technically not a Federation starship, but rather an elaborate ruse perpetrated by the alien named Arturis, the Dauntless design apparently so impressed Starfleet that they rushed a non-slipstreaming version into immediate production.
Whether or not you believe the story, you won't believe the quality of this mesh. Dan poly-reduced this one considerably, but it still sits at well over 4000 poly. That's less than half of the original mesh, and it makes this little ship look fantastic. As always, the included details --build button, wireframe, irals Log pic, even new torpedoes based on stock-- are exemplary.
You won't be disappointed with this one. it today.
