Here's a brand new TDM-only, sniper map by SharpHa. The map, cleverly entitled "Wild Waste," revolved around an "Old West" town theme, complete with a decrepit train station and various tumbleweeds. :P The actual layout and general design of the map is really nice, but what turns me off about it all is the poor lighting. The skybox indicates that it's supposed to take place in broad daylight smack dab in the middle of the desert, and yet it looks like the sun has already gone down in DX7 mode and even worse in DX9, for whatever reason. All in all, I'm not sure if I would recommend this map because the high contrast in brightness between skybox and play area really starts hurting my eyes after a few minutes. All it needs is increased ambient light, and then we'd be talking. ;) In any case, check out the screenshots, and if you think you can handle the lighting issues, give "Wild Waste" a .
