It’s update time and this one revolves around a mod that originally was made in 2005 for the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. Recently Sketch42 ed his 4-year-old mod to this site that was reviewed by Darth InSidious. This time the author gives us a 1.3 version of the mod.

There were two changes in this version as the author updated it so it showed the descriptions in the saber crystal and the saber itself. Then the author re-skinned the hilt texture. He does want people to give on it to let him know if it’s an improvement or not.

One thing this mod gives you is added lines to the upcrystals.2da file and he doesn’t use the TSL Patcher for this mod. I would recommend the author to look into learning how to use the Patcher as it will bring in more people to it that desire the mod, but won’t use it because of the possible complications it could bring.

Another small thing for the author to consider is that he doesn’t have to use a custom texture for the saber blade. He can program it to use the original texture. See, the author abstracted the blue blade texture BioWare made and then renamed it for his mod to line it up where he didn’t have to actually do that. It’s not a big deal, but it actually could benefit some of you to easily change the saber to whatever color you want if you abstract the saber color you desire from the KOTOR Tool and rename it to the texture name the author has lined it up at. So much to think about, but I think I’ve twisted everybody’s mind for the time being. Enjoy! :D
