Before I continue, let it be known that I am a freak for Venom. The idea of a symbiote being that awesome is enough to make Averus's brain explode.

However, this model put me at a great disappointment. The screenshot the author provided was rather deceptive, as it made the model look good, but looking at it in raw format, it's very ugly. The objective was apparently to make the Venom from the comic/animated series. However, this venom looks like he's been binging on too many twinkies. Then again, I've been having trouble picking out what's out of proportion on this model. On one end, it seems like the torso is too fat, but then sometimes it feels like its the arms. After debating that with Xathon, clearly it's the torso. It's too thick. However, we agreed that most of it is blown out of proportion. The head seems too small, the hands seem smaller. What's even more damning is the lack of the open mouth being modelled in. It was just painted on.

I hate to be so negative to a model, but I just think this was just rushed too much. The author was acting as if there were some sort of invisible deadline, when there wasn't. The only positive thing I can find was that the skin was mildly okay, even though the eyes left something to be desired. I would suggest adjusting the proportions a lot more wisely next time. This model makes him look way too fat, even for the comic/cartoon version.
