Merciless Mod 2 is a mod for Call of Duty 2, created by PlusIce.
Info:
Project revises a former unstable mod and aims to make it a serious contender in the modding community. Classes have weapon selection adjustments such as landmines with defuse chance, special grenades, overall firearm selection rearrangements and much more. This mod has war effects and blood mod build in. Players can pick among Soldiers, Medics, Officers, and Classes. Some classes having exclusive weapons.
How to install:
Before starting insure that you have ed the zip and it contains the following files:

merc2v3_3.iwd (cilent side mod)
merc2v3_3_svr_.iwd (server side mod)
merc2ded.cfg
extra_buttons.cfg

The follow are not needed within the game folder to run Merciless:
install_guide.rtf
reev3_3.txt

Create folder "merc2v3_3" in Call of Duty 2
Add the following files to the folder:

merc2v3_3.iwd (cilent side mod)
merc2v3_3_svr_.iwd (server side mod)
merc2ded.cfg
extra_buttons.cfg

Note: merc2ded.cfg is merciless version of a dedicated.cfg
Note: Here's how to turn punkbuster on, if you want.

sv_punkbuster "1"
pb_sv_enable
exec pbsv.cfg (remove double slashes in cfg)

Executing the game via desktop shortcut
Create a shortcut to your "CoD2MP_s.exe"
add "+set fs_game merc2v3_3 +exec merc2ded.cfg" to your target line

"x:\game path\call of duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +set fs_game merc2v3_3 +exec merc2ded.cfg

Please note that merc2ded.cfg has been heavly modified from V3.2
Use the supplied file with your mod version.
