Description
if you enjoyed the look of, and using/playing with the popular [file="72779"]Megatexture Technology Mod[/file] from late last year, then this is right up your alley! The Megatexture Technology Mod showcases John Carmack's early version of the Megatexture technology which lies hidden in the DooM³ engine based games. This mod willwork with Doom 3 / Quake 4 and Prey, but the developer has added some DooM³ specific vehicles.

Some of the changes/additions since the last version are:
A crude attempt at making the ET: Quake Wars Valley map!
Objects cast shadow on megatexture.
Blending between Megatexture levels.
More than halved the Megatexture render program size by using a different approach (original file still in the glprogs folder).
Detail texture, effectively adding another Megatexture level.
Added vehicles and water.
press [b]F[/b] to enter vehicles
press [b]G[/b] to toggle third person
