Description
The sparrow class Medium Cruiser is a standard cruiser class which was upgraded to the Senator DN class for a short period of time. When the Senator was discontinued, the remaining sparrow classes continued to be upgraded. In this case, the fwd quarter beams the Senator has, as well as the rear pulse cannons were added to the Sparrow as well. It does lack the extra set of wing mounted pulse weapons. It featured a noticeable change in exterior markings, extra hull armor, a slight incrase in impulse and thruster performance, and increased power in all of it's disruptor beams. The fwd launcher was converted to make 4 torpedoes ready instead of 3, and given the new MKVII torpedo model. Thought a bit light on the shields in proportion to it's weaponry, it remains a potent boarder action ship.
