Inyri is back with another Guild Wars weapon! This time it is the Emerald Sword, which is both a sword and emeraldy (which must come as a shock, given the name... :p ) It is also, equally shockingly, based upon a weapon in Guild Wars.

As can be seen, the model is more than up to Inyri's high standard and excellently detailed, while the texturing is superb, managing to combine metallic appearance with that of crystal very effectively. It's closeness to the original design is clear and, indeed, most accurate, as always. The stats of the weapon, too, are balanced and fair, while also making it worthwhile to use. It hasn't been spawned anywhere in the game by the author, since it's a fantasy weapon, and rather inappropriate for the setting and aesthetic of the game.

That said, the large guard does make the blade seem rather short, all things considered, and the weapon looks rather silly when paired with the author's Deldrimor Sword, also from Guild Wars. That said, these quibbles are, strictly speaking, the fault of the designer and not the modeller in the first instance, and in the second because the two weapons weren't designed to go together, but a review that doesn't have a down-side wouldn't really be balanced. :p
