Personally I think there are quite a few of the default skins in JKA which could do with a new lick of paint. It seems like a lot of them were taken straight over from JK2, and while they are still pretty good it seems the developers didn’t give them any improvements texture wise over those in JK2. I could be wrong about this, so if you know otherwise, feel free to correct me!

It just seems as though a fair few of the default skins could do with some improvement, especially texture wise.

Now, although Oni hasn’t actually given Jan ‘new’ textures, he has certainly given her a new coat of paint! And personally I think that the new colour scheme is a nice improvement over the default one. The changes aren’t major, however the overall effect is very noticeable. Gone are the light coloured clothes that she wore before, replaced with a much more ‘mercenary’ looking outfit. The clothing is much darker and the colours have been changed, which as I said above, looks better than the original in my opinion.

The skin also has team , and the team skins are quite different from the default JKA ones. The colouring is subtler on these, unlike the default Jan team skins where most of her clothes are coloured blue or red. I think the author has done a good job here! Another plus is that the author also included some different sounds for the skin.

As the author said in his ree, he tried to give this skin bot but it didn’t work for some reason, I am a mapper and not a skinner, so I don’t know what the problem could be. So if any of you guys could help with that, I am sure Oni would appreciate it.:)

All in all then a good reskin here, it is simple but effective and I personally like it more than the default Jan, since this skin has more of a ‘mercenary’ feel to it. If you guys like the look of this, then give it a ! :)
