Here is the Romulan fighter from the TMP Period, or the same era as the Excelsior, this ship is a small fighter armed with two pulse cannons and a heavy cannon, this fighter also has a defensive dsruptor which is perfect for attack runs. It has large fins on the dorsal side for atmospheric operations. The fighter is not overly fast, and it's size limits it's operational ranger to areas where a carrier or starbase is. These are not frontline ships, but they can be operated there with resupply along the way. In numbers, they can take down larger ships.
